The STOQ III Project at PUL

The STOQ Project has arrived at its Third Edition (2007-9), after the First Edition (STOQ I, 2004) and the Second Edition (STOQ II, 2005-6).

Study and Teaching Activities
The study and teaching activities of the STOQ III Project at PUL will follow essentially the scheme already established during the STOQ I-II Programs at PUL. Namely it offers, on a biennial basis, a series of fundamental courses — given by PUL professors — and of intensive courses given generally by invited  professors. These courses and the related Workshops are given in order to integrate the Science-Religion debate into the graduate study programs, in the Faculty of Philosophy (specialization on “Logic and Epistemology”), and in the Faculty of Theology (specialization on “Fundamental Theology: Religion Sciences”).
These courses are organized, during the two years according to the two main Thematic Areas of:
  1. Physics, Cosmology and Theology
  2. Science and Ontology of the Intelligent Life.

Research Activities
The main STOQ research activity at PUL concerns “A new Anthropology for the Third Millennium”. For this aim, it is previewed the publication of another volume, beside the volume concerning the research activity for the STOQ II Project at PUL, whose main contents can be consulted online at the page "Other Contributions" of this site. Like the precedent one, through the collaboration among PUL Professors and other invited Professors of the STOQ Program, the new volume will include sections on “History of Philosophy”, “Metaphysics and Ontology”,  “Ethics”, “Phenomenology and Other Cultures” and “Neurophysiology and Cognitive Sciences”
